How did we reach the targets for our plan?
Collaborative approaches to self-evaluation ensured that all staff participated in self-evaluation activities in session 2016/2017, identifying areas of strength and areas for development as part of our school improvement process. We consulted with staff, pupils and the Parent Council on proposed uses for our Pupil Equity Fund Allocation. Our pupils and parents views were sought through questionnaires and were overwhelmingly positive about the school and their experiences.
What did you think we should get better at?
Pupils would like improvement to our playgrounds and more choice in their learning. Parents would like to continue to be involved in their child’s learning which we will do through our family learning workshops and participation in class led assemblies/displays of knowledge. Staff would like to continue the use of flexible grouping which provides our young people with learning experiences which meet their needs of that particularly stage of their education and English language journey.
What are we planning to improve on in session 2017/2018?
Re-visit our Vision and Values and Aims in light of our rapidly changing school community.
